You may remember in a previous Editor’s Note that I dropped a little bomb in saying that I rarely complete a game to the point where the end credits roll in front of me. This is generally because I only tend to stick with a game I really enjoy.
Such games have included:
- Final Fantasy VIII
- Resident Evil: Nemesis
- Silent Hill 2
- Final Fantasy X-2
- Lego Indiana Jones
- Lego Indiana Jones 2
- Left 4 Dead
- Left 4 Dead 2
- Dragon Age: Origins
There are others, but those are the ones that immediately spring to mind and even that list is rather pathetic and shameful. And of course I don’t know if I should even count the two Left 4 Dead games, simply because you don’t ever really ‘complete’ it, looking at it objectively it’s just a collective of connected maps to run around, not really a game where there’s an A point and a B point, a la Assassin’s Creed or other such games.
Anyway Rachel get to the point. Right.
Since it feels pretty shameful to run a gaming website and rarely see a game through to the end, I am going to make it my goal over the next couple of months to finish as many games as possible without quitting them. Then with any luck my gamerscore will go up so it can stop making my Gamers Have Ovaries Too post look like sheer hypocrisy.
A list of any and all games along with ranting on how annoying it was to complete this task coming in later Editor’s Notes! Watch this space and get your mocking face ready.
